Q2 2024 Performance of Top Pair Puzzle Apps in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the US market witnessed significant activity in the Pair Puzzle apps category. Data from Sensor Tower provides an overview of the performance of the leading apps in this segment.

Match Factory!, by Peak Games, showed consistent revenue figures, starting at $2.1M in the first week of April and peaking at nearly $2.5M by late June. Downloads for the app fluctuated, with a high of around 179K in early April, dipping to 139K in mid-June, and then rebounding to approximately 164K by the end of June. Weekly active users grew from 744K to over 902K during the quarter.

Tile Family®:Match Puzzle Game, from the German publisher Playflux, experienced a slight decrease in revenue from $634K to $625K with some fluctuations throughout the quarter. Downloads saw an initial increase from 52K to around 92K in late May, before decreasing to approximately 73K by the end of June. The active user base showed growth, starting at 420K and reaching just over 523K mid-quarter, then slightly decreasing to around 502K.

For Tile Dynasty: Triple Mahjong, launched by Tripledot Studios in mid-May, no revenue was recorded as expected for a new app. Downloads, however, showed a steady increase from about 15K in the first week post-launch to over 80K by the end of June. The active user count mirrored this trend, starting at 11K and reaching just over 104K in the same period.

Goods Sort™ -Triple Busters 3D by Clap Palms displayed modest revenue figures, beginning at $110K and peaking at $126K in mid-June. Downloads for the game remained relatively stable, ranging from 53K to 57K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users saw a steady increase from 320K to 414K.

Lastly, Triple Tile: Match Puzzle Game also from Tripledot Studios, showed minimal revenue, which decreased from $2K to $733 by the end of June. Downloads showed a decline from 50K to 39K over the quarter, with weekly active users starting at 228K and slightly decreasing to around 172K.
